Making Hip Hop Beats

Making Hip Hop beats sounds kind of easy and it is, sort of. Sometimes you have that beat in your head that you just can’t bring to life. It’s easy, it’s hard, it’s fun but it’s what those of you who are reading this love to do. I love music and Hip Hop represent so much of what I love about music.

When making a beat it usually will start out as a freestyle most of the time. Then something will catch your ear or inspire you. Which is what makes music come out a lot easier. If your not inspired when your doing what you do, beats are going to come a lot slower or you’ll be stuck going in circles working on your Hip Hop beat software.

I’ve had times where I get stuck on one or two sound for an hour or more. I just won’t leave it alone I have to perfect it, which I know will never come anyway so I just have to leave it alone for a while and work on a different instrumental. Sometimes the best thing to do when making your rap beats is to leave it alone for awhile and come back.

By doing that you will come back to the music with a clear and fresh mind ready to play. Don’t force your songs, beats, or your creativity. It doesn’t really work, stay inspired and the beats will come naturally, not necessarily quickly by more real and true to yourself. Just some motivation for those of you out there making Hip Hop beats, keep it up and keep going.
